Branding in UN Proposals

I have found, by having a UN proposal in quorum deleted, that naming a region as a co-author in a proposal is not allowed. Seeing that, instead, listing a nation is permitted, I fail to see the reason behind this rule.

From what I understand, the current situation has not been the case until a very short while ago. In fact, several other resolutions (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12737027&postcount=43) naming regions as authors have, in the past, been approved. By seeing the resolutions themselves, one can notice that indicating the region which helped create the proposal does not seem out of place, is absolutely not excessive branding and it has basically the same visual effect as naming a nation as a co-author.

In fact, I believe allowing regions to give themselves credit for the resolution's creation may actually increase the amount of good proposals submitted. Professional and dedicated regions are unlikely to work and contribute to a proposal if they do not get anything in return. By allowing regions to be recognized through their work, most likely more regions will begin creating and submitting proposals, detailed and well-written proposals.

Please, consider this suggestion. I truly believe it can help the NSUN. :)

Questions about moderation policy belong in the Moderation forum, or in this case it could have gone in UN. Doesn't belong in Technical. Moved.

Regardless, we didn't arbitrarily and capriciously suddenly one day decide to cut off regions from the list. It was in response to a growing tendency to list more and more co-authors in proposals, to the point that the ad for the region outweighed the value of the proposed legislation.

While you have a decent point, the UN is about promoting the legislation, not the authors. After many months of debate and consideration, we reluctantly permitted the use of a single co-author nation. You're welcome to give credit where credit is due in the forum topic, but it doesn't belong in Passed Resolutions ... and passing resolutions should be your ultimate goal.
