Hi, I would like a clarification on the rule that bans Alternate History RPs on II.

Since E20 was shut down by Mod edict a while back I have seen quite a few Alternate History Rps in II.
My question is, are Alternate History Rps now allowed or was E20 violating the rules in some other way?

E20 was occuring entirely offsite if I recall correctly, except for an advertisement thread on the NS forums.

Wrong, I have been a member of E20 for all three versions. Only the latest, E20 v.3 has occured offsite.
E20 was banned from II during v.2 when it still occured entirely on the NS forums.

If the ban on alternate history has been lifted we would sincerely like to come back from exile. If not we are severely annoyed that other people are allowed to do alternate history Rps whilst we were banned from doing so.

If I recall correctly, the gripe with Alternate History RPs revolved around their lack of connection to NationStates. Since these are the NationStates forums, your RPs should be in some way connected to your fictional nation. Things like E20 were simply the real world earth, not NationStates earth. Y'see?

I know that was the original reason for banning E20, however I have noticed an increasing number of alternate history Rps on II recently and wondered if the ban had been lifted.
I simply think it is unfair that us E20 guys got told to take a hike whilst others get away with it.

Sorry, guys, but we're not omniscient. Sometimes we need these things pointed out to us (which is the only reason E20 lasted so long). Alternate history is still out, because things do have to based on NationStates in some way, shape, or form rather than just "I'm China in the 1920s" or "I get to play the Draka, let's ignore the power of the Crown."

I was thinking that maybe the reason that there are so many Alternate History Rps cropping up is that people simply don't know they are not allowed.
Possibly a sticky or something to that end may help.
