IIRC, when you post a thread with a poll to gather identities, you're not supposed to cast the topic so that the poster may "use the information later" as is stated in the OP.

With an intent to bash.

There's a distinct difference between asking someone their political inclinations and asking for personal information and then proceeding to use it in a derogatory fashion.

People post their stance on political issues all the time here, that's one of the main purposes of General afterall.

That said, if the OP goes on to start using derogatory terms concerning conservatives and those that say yes to his poll, that's flaming on his part.
