Power of the TPP

Judging from the fact that...er...it really isn't that big of a deal, since the TPP is run by gnomes. But, well, it somewhat is, due to the fact that some nations I talked to really want a resolution on the book that allow for Humanitrain Interventions. I referred them to that resolution and they are happy that the UN has taken the stand against human right abuses, allowing them to stop tinpot dictators from doing genocide.

Forgottenlands believed that the TPP cannot rule on such cases, since it is dead, it is run by gnomes, and that people could powergame on such issue. I believed that the TPP can rule on these cases if (1)the player of a nation who has done the genocide consent for the TPP to rule on the case, and consenting to have the TPP rule for a Intervention, basically for RP purposes and for hosing himself, as normal...or (2)only on NPC nations and them committing genocide, that it does not apply to Player nations.

So, I would like a clarification on the TPP's power when they are ruling on cases of genoicde and cases of intervention. Thank you.

The UN decides how UN powers are defined, not the Mods. If you do something blatantly illegal with it in a proposal, we'll delete it. Otherwise, we don't really care what you do with it.

Pretty much anything you folks do in roleplay is fine by us, providing you abide by forum conventions and game rules. I don't see this as anything that needs to involve the mods.

Speaking of proposal legalities - in the same debate it came up of possibly expanding the TPP's powers to look at warmongering nations as well. Considering the TPP is already problematic insofar as it can designate multinational forces to attack a nation it deems in violation, I'm assuming that proposals to expand the TPP's mandate would be illegal on, if nothing else, UN Army concerns.

We don't pro-actively ban proposal concepts. Show me something in the submissions queue that you think breaks a rule, and I'll look at it. Roleplay that the IRCO or TPP is taking on Automagfreek and winning, and you'll get no argument from me.

Quit trying to make us the Roleplay Police. Homie don't play that way.
