Hello. My girlfriend is new to the actual nationstates.net website, and she has only been on it for about two weeks. I showed her the forums, and she wanted to start writing. However, tonight, when she tried to post a new thread she encountered this screen:

She hasn't gotten any validation emails, and she was waiting for two hours. Is there going to be a validation email sent in the future, or is there something you guys can do?

Thanks for your time.

Sometimes it takes more than two hours.

Its been a day, and my girlfriend still cannot post new threads, or new posts. Is there anything someone can do to help?

Patience. It may take a while to get the validation email. I suggest waiting a little while longer. The modly type people do have lives outside of the game and if there is an actual problem, they will get to it when they can.

I had a problem with one of my puppet nations. It took a bit, but the email validation had finally arrived. It seemed that there was an issue with hotmail accounts and them not receiving the email. If your girlfriend used a hotmail account to register, tell her to try changing it to another email account that isn't hotmail. From what I remember, this should auto-generate a new verification request, I think.

She's using AOL. A webmaster friend of mine used to regularly distribute 350,000 daily emails to his mailing list, and he routinely got hate mail from AOL users who didn't receive their daily jokes. On researching, he discovered documented evidence that over 70% of all non-spam emails simply never arrived at their AOL destination. I don't know if that's a factor in this case, but I'd surely start my move to Gmail or some other provider. AOL cannot be considered reliable.

As for zebharia sitchin, I've resent the validation email. Have her check her spam box too.

When I joined the UN, the email wound up in hotmail's "spam" box. I wouldn't be surprised if the forum validation emails go there too.

Edit: I've found Gmail to be more reliable than any of the other providers I've tried.
