It was a reference to the Swiss thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=521823) and was meant to be a joke having fun at the ridiculousness of the Swiss behaviour, and was a continuation of the good-natured Swedish-German ribbing I and WYTYG had engaged in over cloud berry jam (cloud berry jam, for heaven's sake!) just prior to your post in the waffle thread.

If you honestly think I would flame you over you not liking waffles, meaning to liken you to Nazis over it... then really I've no words except to shake my head at you and to believe that you're doing nothing but feigning this indignation of yours.

I never read nor participated in the Swiss thread and you make it sound like it's my fault of being uninformed.

That was way beyond what I'd consider funny, especially given the context of something as meaningless as waffles.

I don't have to ask for an apology. Me complaining in the Moderation forum should clearly tell you that I took your post as a grave insult, for I usually would not care coming here to complain.

That alone should've made you realize I was being serious about this. You punctured my thick skin, so to speak.

You know...is it possible Fass meant it in another way? That gas tap is not a reference to some sort of gas chamber but merely a euphamism for a dirty mouth, perhaps in and of itself insinuating a lack of taste, which was basically what his joking barb meant in the first place?

Frankly I think you're overreacting German Nightmare, though Fass certainly isn't helping his case by being overly arrogant.

The thing is that I doubt German Nightmare's sincerity here, but fine. If you really were upset at it German Nightmare, I apologise. I did not mean that as a flame. I meant it as a joke. I have no beef with, or reason to flame you at all.

I was indeed very upset for I did not consider it a joke at all. I read your statement to WYTYG but that was totally in another league.

I accept your apology and really hope that in the future there will be no more misunderstandings like this. Glad we straightened things out.
