I think this is a bit far.

We have fairly lax rules on NSG to allow for people to express their political views. But I think F1 insanity is going a little farther then typically allowed here.

well, at least we don't follow the words of a perverted serial rapist/murderer/warmonger and his imaginary friend 'Allah'.

Further than what's typically allowed? How about all the Christian bashing. I cannot count how many times people have referred to my God as being a child killer, or ruthless, or advocates genocide etc.. Why is it different when someone says it about Islam? why is it wrong then?

If those comments about my God and my faith are allowed, then this should be allowed.

Gotta agree with Zilam on this one. Although I'm an agnostic and don't give a flying crap either way about religious disagreements, it's a bit silly that all of the Christian-bashing goes unreported, but when someone says something bad about Muslims, it's "OMGooses! I have to run to the Mod forum and report that evil flamer!!!!!1eleven"

Did he or did he not (in the opinion of most Christians) flood the entire world killing everybody INCLUDING children? If so then how does the label not fit?

That's not what's being discused here. Its irrelevant to the matter at hand. What I am saying is that if the Mods are gonna ban this type of speech towards muslim beliefs, then they better be prepared to have me make numerous ammount of posts for every post I see talking in the same manner against my God and my beliefs. Its only fair.

Islam doesn't get any sort of special protection. When Muhammad becomes a member of NationStates, he can complain about being flamed. Until then, he'll just have to suck it up like Jesus, Moses, Abraham, and George Bush.

I really hope Dubya joins NS after leaving the presidency. Half the General forum regulars would get banned. :p [/hijack] (sorry).

Hmm. We might have to put a sticky up if that sort of thing happens. That, or make exceptions for flaming someone as a public figure rather than an internet persona.

After all, we have had people adopting the internet persona of, say, Jesus, and that hasn't changed anything regarding speech about the public figure of Jesus.
