I have a complaint against a member in the General topic thread, Ipperwash: Canadian Tragedy with regards to Pyotr and Neesika. They have been totally rude and ignorant to me, a new member.

Thank you.

do you know how to create a link to the posts or to the thread? It helps the mods.

And, Oganoland - you really, really should grow a thicker skin. As in, a skin, period. Nobody was being rude or mean to you. Did you even bother to check back on the thread?

found the thread.

not a mod, but I do have some suggestions and opinions.

First Oganoland, it's not flaming or anything bad. there are people who do harp on spelling. my suggestion is to just smile and bear it. (the fact that someone caught Pyotr in a spelling/grammar error should make you smile. ;) )

alot of people here have biting humor. it's very easy to get riled up with their tone, I suggest taking deep breaths and ask them. most people here will understand that some people have different ideas as to humor.

also, your thread is a Homework thread. something that really is frowned upon by the mods. and drawing attention to it is rather... foolish. read the stickies to find out what is or is not allowed.

then there is the fact that Neesika did provide a link. Post #4 the words "Ipperwash inquiry" is a link. click on it and see where it takes you. ;)

another thing is that your 'Brother', Zuluistan, also made several mistakes. the term Neesika uses... Grammar/Spelling Nazi is not in reference to you, but to those who nitpick on other people's spelling/grammar. in other words it was a humorous dig at Pyotr.

two, calling others Morons when it's not called for may be called flaming. but that is for the mods to decide.

three, he also supports the fact that the thread is a Homework thread. a no no here.

and being new is not really an excuse. I suggest you and your brother read the One Stop Rule Shop (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=410573) and familiarize yourself with the forum rules.

Good luck on your report, and I hope my suggestions help you in turning a bad experience around.

Edit: sorry for sounding like I'm being condesending (sp?) but when I started this, I didn't see your link post... so I just assumed that you didn't know how to make one.

I'd like to complain that the thread never evolved from being what looked like an attempt to get NS to help the poster with his homework.

Kudos to JuNii for going to the effort to spell all that out. :)

I apologize to Oganoland for my comments, they were intended as a joke about a simple spelling error. I never intended to anger anyone but I apparently have, I am sorry.

<stuff>Yeah, that's about the long and short of it.

I apologize to Oganoland for my comments, they were intended as a joke about a simple spelling error. I never intended to anger anyone but I apparently have, I am sorry. And when we add in this, I'd say we're done here.

However, Oganoland, you really, really need to be less sensitive to stuff like this. We certainly expect a certain level of civility, but if what you experienced in that thread is too much for you to manage... well... General's gonna eat you alive.

And as far as the internet goes, General is nice.
