One of the long-time members of our region is in the military, and is going back on tour in Iraq soon.

He has asked that one of us log into his nation every couple of weeks (he's going to leave it in vacation mode) so he has a nation to come back to.

Everyone he asked already has a UN nation, and his nation is a UN nation too. Is it possible to arrange with the game administration to have a babysitter for his nation?

No one wants to break the rules or get deleted over this.

Who do i talk to? What are the options?

The safest bet for everyone: let it slumber in limbo (time out) until he is able to log in himself.

Or he could resign from the UN...

Well, I guess, though I cannot be certain, that (s)he can spordically log on computers at base camp. Also, let us pray and/or hope that he/she comes back safely and in good health.

That would be my suggestion as well, at least while he's serving his tour. He can always rejoin when he comes back.
