How do I go about trying to get my old nation reinstated?

I just had my nation deated, but I didn't get a reason for it. Rather than ask to have that one reinstated I thought I might as well ask to have my original back.

Can I get "Domici" reinstated somehow? I seem to remember some posters saying that nations that got deleted for lack of use were given back.
