may I suggest that it is generally poor advice to complain about a post that is quoting your own flame baiting?

It's a public forum, with lots of opinions. You don't have to like them. Sometimes the truth hurts - if your posting form is not up to par (spelling/grammar mistakes etc when posting in highly charged threads especially), it's likely to get commented on. Nothing he said there justified your overly caustic response. If you don't really care what he had to say, why such a nasty reply? I doubt you'll get the mods to see it your way on account, given past cases along the same lines. But hey - no official word here, just experienced observation.

Aren't most General threads involving politics, religion, charged issues, etc filled with people 'aching for a fight' to one degree or other? Point is, we're all responsible for our own responses, and that one was inappropriate. Whether the moderators choose to act on the rest is as always, their decision to make. Wasn't commenting on anything but what was linked.

btw - continue to be amused by the 'not a mod' comments, seeing how everyone can tell who is and isn't one just by looking to the left of the post they're reading. ;)

Whether his post was baiting or not is debatable, but your post was most assuredly flaming.
