My own thread, that is. I created a thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=511741)on my trying to get rid of my dreadlocks before Christmas, and I'd like to continue it now that I've done the deed. I've read the bit on gravedigging in the OSRS

Gravedigging: Posting a reply on a long disused thread; bumping threads that aren't used anymore. Adding legitimate new material is permitted, and the acceptable age varies from forum to forum. Adding a book report in Jennifer Government is acceptable after months of inactivity, but bumping a week-old topic in General may not be.

but wasn't sure whether this fell under the 'adding legitimate new material' heading or not. So.. may I continue the thread in order to give account of the (non)usefulness of the tips and predictions given, or do I have to start a new one?

It's only been around a week, so I can still remember reading it. I'd say that it's OK - it's a very legit update and after not all that much time, although you may get better response with a new thread. Up to you.
