A question

I looked through the One Stop Rules Shop and didn't see anything that applied to this directly, but the conduct has been commented on in General so I was wondering if you all would be able to clarify.

I'm singling out New Mitanni here, but I doubt he's the only poster who does this--he'll start a thread like this one (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=512283) with an obnoxious statement that borders on flaming or trolling and then disappear from the thread, never to be seen again until he makes another thread similar in tone and usually, subject matter. Is that against the rules or just poor form? Thanks.

I doubt it's against the rules as I started a thread on the selfishness of suicide and an "anime fight" thread and pretty much abandoned them both. Whether or not it's poor form is debateable and form is totally subjective in my opinion. Perhaps he was simply attempting to stir conversation on the matter. If that were the case then it would appear that he was successful as I was when I began my suicide thread.

Personally I think it bad form when every other post in a thread is made by the original poster.

Looks like its just poor form as far as leaving the thread after making such comments. I think the only thing that he, or anyone else doing the same thing could be charged with, is trolling/flaming, but leaving the thread after such a statement doesn't seem to break any rules.

Drive-by posters frequently stop if people don't respond. They're kinda like trolls, really...

New Mitanni does it constantly. If we're going to have a troll, I would at least like one who responds.

Okay--so it doesn't reach the level of trolling. That's all I wanted to know.
