As if we didn't have enough of these.

IMHO, I think the thread could be a good discusion, but the question seems to be written to get a rise or reaction out of liberals.

And we don't have enough threads and posts written to get a rise out of conservatives?

Riiight. Seems more like an honest question in this case than an obvious attempt to 'get a rise' out of people due to the sincerity of the matter.
The argument that Christianity is generally (socially) oppressed has its valid points, just as the argument that Nazism should be tolerated has its valid points. With this in mind, it's quite reasonable that someone who has always shown a negative reaction to Christianity and also claims there should be tolerance for Nazism (due to freedom of speech and whatnot) would naturally elicit such a reaction from someone who disagrees. While the brush is rather broad, that's a common enough error amongst new forum members and so I don't figure this to be actionable.
Note the continued effort by the thread starter to try and get a straight answer, rather than just prolong the backbiting.
