At what point can you stop him from making continual racial slurs? Not that I wan't you to take away his freedom of expression; it's just pretty unsavoury and I may snap at him....

Eh? You said you're Jewish and he used the accepted term for one of Jewish descent and/or religion. How is that a racial slur? Had he said something like, forgive me, "kike", you would have a point.
He was certainly painting with a broad brush, but I don't see that as flaming or flamebaiting. Personally, I would strongly advise you either debate him, or ignore him.
