Check above post 50. Read Dobbsworld's reason for deleting a post.
"fuck IDF right where he lives."

You weren't exactly treating him with politeness yourself.

I restrained myself by deleting my hastily-written and heavily-barbed post. That's all I'm going to say. IDF isn't going to bait me any further today.

And you flamed me even more when you did so.

IDF what do you run to the mods when somebody gives back the heavy handed approach you like to use?
There is that neat little function called called an ignore list.
Why not make use of it?

There is a big difference betweena heavy handed approach and a flame.
NOTE: I just searched and counted. In the past 12 months, I have complained 6 times to the mods. THat is once every 2 months. Yet somehow I have a reputation of being a tattle-tale.
To those who don't like me going to the mods, please don't flame me.

If that's a flame, then wouldn't this post (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11905527&postcount=47) immediately before the one in question be the flamebait?
It seems like a heated debate, which by default will turn hostile, making both parties look guilty if at least one of them can't keep cool. You just have to get used to being flammed if you're going to debate politics.

Yes I get it all the time. A piece of advice would be to deal with it calmly and stay logged of if you have to. If you can't post somthing nice don't post at all

Yes. Mild. IDF, you know better."fuck IDF right where he lives."Dobbs, use a bit of common sense when posting un-editable deletion comments. That one was over the line. You just have to get used to being flammed if you're going to debate politics.
Not to the point of moderator involvement, A_B. At least it's not supposed to go to that level.
This is a heated debate with heavily polarized sides. I don't see anything actionable apart from the two mild warnings given above. I don't see any need for further discussion on this one.

Jake, we're getting a little bit tired with your Appeals to Authority and mod-worshipping antics in every forum. A few things to keep in mind: You don't need to respond to every post in Moderation or Technical. We don't need or want a Peanut Gallery
Don't post things that imply you are capable of making modly decisions or suggestions. Neither is the case.
If you don't actually have anything to say, try NOT SAYING it.That is all.
