[ModEdit]Split from here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=503495).[/Edit]

OOC: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is rolling in his grave right now.

Surely he would be banned from this forum (as tovaritch LW was), surely Khrushchev would have been banned to for slamming his shoe on his desk...

Just know that we at Bodycoded Island feel surprising that LW has been banned and not "The Most Glorious Hack", who always try to initiate trolls on this forum. But roleplay seems to have its limit for moderators here when they have the same opinion than the trollers (nice roleplay attitude indeed)....

So please notice that I did not write that I do not agree with your beloved resolution, so may be I will not be banned....

http://www.un.org/russian/av/radio/history60/60historypictures/khrushchev.gifActually, if I remember correctly, we've had characters slam their shoes on their desks before. Heck, back when I first started playing we had a nation who would wack people with a frying pan.

Just know that we at Bodycoded Island feel surprising that LW has been banned and not "The Most Glorious Hack", who always try to initiate trolls on this forum. But roleplay seems to have its limit for moderators here when they have the same opinion than the trollers (nice roleplay attitude indeed)....Far be it for me to speak for Fris, but as I see it here's what happened, both Logical Wit and Hack were trolling. Fris warned both of them to stop, Hack complied, Logical Wit did not. Ergo, Logical Wit was banned, and Hack was not.

So please notice that I did not write that I do not agree with your beloved resolution, so may be I will not be banned....No one gets banned for agreeing or disagreeing with any resolution, bans are only handed out to people who break the rules of the forum.

I tried to read this back: but it's not obvious (at least for me, I'm accustomed with forums, and usually, the warning is explicit), see around post 100. Moreover, Hack is part of the NationStates Moderator Team, I think that if he trolled too, he should be at least banned from this team.

No one gets banned for agreeing or disagreeing with any resolution, bans are only handed out to people who break the rules of the forum.

You will admit that in a forum which goal is to mimic UN, roleplayed arguments should be allowed, and from my point of view, LW was totally in his role; most of his posts were focused around a "create grants to help poor country to understand labels and safety procedures" point of view.

On the contrary, Hack was totally in a "troll attitude", always writing that LW point of view was "stupid", full of mistakes, etc. He never centered his post around any constructed point of view, as for instance Guangdongstan did (see post 95 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11849420&postcount=95) ).
I definitely think that Hack should no more be part of the moderators team for such postings, what credibility could he have now? And frankly, when LW sent me a telegram about his bannishment, I was sure that Hack was responsible of that; you seems to think its Fris....

LW is a real roleplayer, just read his contribution to International Incidents (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=503938) to understand that. I'm afraid that his Lost teams won't be able to respond for some days to other nations because of his bannishment.

On the contrary, Hack (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/search.php?searchid=612228) usually contribute to typo corrections and such question...

I'll admit that I have no way of knowing who issued the ban, I'm simply assuming that Fris did it since Fris was the one who told them to knock it off. Plus I've dealt with Hack many times over my time here playing NS, and have never once got the impression that he'd abuse his mod powers.

1. Heed the advice of your fellow posters to take discussions of Moderation to the Moderation forum.

2. As mentioned already, it's quite possible to troll while roleplaying. I've certainly seen people manage it in the roleplay forums.

3. Read the One-Stop Rules Shop that happens to be stickied in this forum.

4. Learn what trolling is. Logical Wits was trolling, Hack was unknowingly feeding a troll.

5. Understand that there is a big difference between calling a person's view stupid and calling the person themself stupid.

6. Pay attention to what I'm saying, because if you continue to ignore Moderator posts and act in an aggravating fashion while hijacking threads, you'll probably get the same treatment as LW. The solution to the situation is not to continue the behavior that caused the situation to begin with.

Posting Past Forumban: If a nation is forumbanned, that nation's player is not permitted to post on the forums with other puppet nations. Such puppets may be deleted without notice, as may the puppet master and other identified puppets. If you can't figure out why you were banned, you can file a Getting Help request asking why. You may post on the behalf of a forumbanned player to ask, in "Moderation", why that player was forumbanned. You may not post on the behalf of a forumbanned player for any other reason.

If a nation is deleted for rule-breaking on the forums, the moderators may impose a forumban time in addition to the deletion. Failure to observe this forumban may result in a DoS order (see below).

I never thought Hack was unknowingly feeding anything. I just made a semi-humerus comment at his expense, which probably wasn't taken as such by most readers (since I abhor punctuating with emoticons and nobody here recognizes snide without ;) ). It struck an ulnar nerve, and The HaXx0r ceased and desisted. Logical Wit failed to demonstrate eponymity, and was banned.
