Hey, I'm here from the Methody Region, and we would like a change in Regional Founder.

See, a while ago we had a pretty cool Regional Government, who's decisions would be backed up by the Regional Founder, Peteronia. But then he left.
After that there's been lots of disagreements over what exactly we should do.

We've reached a unanimous decision: we create a new "Headmaster" Nation, and then ask a Game Mod to make it Regional Founder. We elect the User of the Nation and then the user is bound by the votes of the region and must do what it says. It's really to stop Big Nations breaking our rules and us not being able to do anything about it. Anything else we do will just be for the fun of it :p.

So, will you change our Founder?

Indeed, our previous system that worked was a sort of constitutional monarchy. The Founder had the powers but he only used them whenever the region voted for him to do so. (He had to agree to abide by a constitution)

We would like a system basically the same. Please do make this small admin effort to make a huge positive difference in our region!

If you want a new founder, then you can all refound the region with that nation as the new founder.

Correct. Just be aware there is a chance that someone ELSE might refound with the same name, if they are faster. There is an element of risk involved here.

That means we will lose alot of older members and our regional power :(

Has been asked in the past, the answer has just about always been no.

We stopped offering that service in 2003, several months after Founders were introduced. The only reason we ever offered it as a service was to allow players to take advantage of the new feature.

Can you not make one exception and then delete this topic so no-one else knows? If the technology is there I don't see why we don't use it.

You could even let Regional Founders request that their position be transferred.

No we certainly could not. It's called "playing fair" and "treating all the players equally."

Then allow all nations to transfer their founder position?

At any time in the future may you allow this feature again, or is it a final No?

Yoiu may ask again after January 2023. We'll probably still say no, though.
