...apparently, some folks just don't get it. For those of you who have occasion to use the Getting Help Page, Please Don't:

1) Tell us to delete someone. Really. It's annoying, as well as a hugely overblown response, to tell us, "NewNation1 spammed my region with a request to join his! NUKE HIM NOW!" We're fully aware of our range of tools, and when it is appropriate to use them. If they are doing something DEATworthy, we'll take care of it, we promise.

2) Report others' telegrams when they really aren't actionable. If you've been annoying someone and they write back, "STOP TELEGRAMMING ME, DAMMIT, OR I AM REPORTING YOU!" please don't tell us "He swore at me!" or "He's threatening to use mods as a weapon!"

3) Report others when you've been abusing them. It's really not bright to tell us someone's being mean to you, and then we see you're spamming their RMB with nonsense.

4) Ask us sesquatrillion times to perform rezz your nation. Really. We get it. One request a day is sufficient. Twenty is annoying.

5) Flame the mods on the GHP. The response tends to be, shall we say, less than positive. "I don't understand why this happened" gets a better reponse than, "You fucking losers who have no life, why did this happen!?"

I'm sure I'll think of others, as will my fellow mods, but I see these sorts of reports often enough that it seems it really IS necessary to comment on them.

Sadly, the amazingly obvious tends to be missed by the amazingly oblivious. :(

And I can only hope that 1) is a reference to my case, as I think I meet those criterion...not to be annoying. I realize that the mods are just doing their job and trying to do it well.

I'm afraid that the kind of people that this is aimed at are not the kind of people who are going to be reading this in here, or checking the rules first.

But I promise that in future I'll stop sending you getting help requests to come and make me a cup of tea. Perhaps that's not fair on you.

Actually, it's not particularly a reference to any case. I can honestly say I see someone demanding we delete someone else for nothing particularly DEATworthy at least once a day.

I've been around. Actually I've been posting quite a bit lately. Hell I'll probably be here as long as NS exists. Hell its already been more than three years now.
