Hello! It's been over a year since we last had a MaxChat, where NS players can get to ask their questions to Max Barry himself on the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) channel #nationstates on the Espernet server (irc.esper.net). More information about IRC can be found here: http://www.mirc.com/

Well considering that I haven't been in NS long enough to come to a MaxChat, I'd really like to see one. Aye!

I've always wanted to join in a MaxChat although i didn't because i never had internet at home. Now i do.

So i think i would be saying "YES", i would like to see a new MaxChat in the near future.

I can dig it. I've always missed the MaxChats in the past.

Missed the last two, so why not. I've always wondered what he's working on now. (Considering the progression of writing style maturity from Syrup through Jennifer Government to Company, I'm rather looking forward to his next one.)

Finally getting away from my grammer issues (which have been corrected) we will probably have to pay some kind of tribute like say a finger per sentance (for those olde day folk). He's probably busy writting and hopefully scripting NS2. So when it's convenient within the next months or so would be nice....

While I would quite enjoy the opportunity to tell you that we have something on the schedule, Max's schedule appears to preclude one in the immediate future. He's doing a bit of touring to promote Company (http://www.maxbarry.com/2007/02/09/news.html), and even we've seen not a lot of him about. It's quite possible he plans to spend his non-travel time actually working on new books and screenplays. Probably wants to keep his family fed and sheltered or something. Authors. Go figure.

With Chief Maxchat Architect Sirocco now retired, nobody on staff has really had the gumption to borrow Sir Rocco's punji sticks (with which he pokes Max repeatedly in the ribs), probably for fear of accidentally poking young Mistress Fin. At least that's my story, and I'm sticking with it.

I wouldn't want to get poked in the ribs either.
