I tend to get confused with subtle differences between trolling, flamebaiting, spam or what. But my gut instinct tells me this thread isn't very worthwhile:

The OP consists of a link to ABC, the thread title wondering about Jews, and a vague insinuation that the latest "neocon" (meaning Jewish) propaganda indicates that ABC is owned by the "neocons" (meaning Jews).

Then there's post 6 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11654326&postcount=6) with a slightly less vague assertion that Jews were "decisively supportive," i.e controlling the USA.

Post 17 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11654357&postcount=17) he qualifies it with a reluctant "...IMO." Then in post 23 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11654383&postcount=23) he complains that anyone else's opinion of his opinion is 'discriminatory' and that he doesn't care. If he doesn't care about others opinions why does he think his opinions make for a good thread topic? I think it's because he's either trolling or just spewing bigoted drivel.

Well I won't argue with the first sentence, but I know from reading a few posts of his in the past that he'd used to at least post an article that would be discussed. In this case, it's just abc.com and Jews.

OceanDrive is just one of those people who is really, what's the word, suspicious about anything and everything that is related to the Media, and thinks that Jewish people are all for everything that has gone wrong in this nation and are planning on getting the United States blown up or some really wierd stuff like that.

It's a distasteful opinion, but distasteful opinions are not against the rules. You seem a little biased. For example Post 23 is a rather patient reply for a bit of an attack on him. Basically he says that the opinion that his is racist, discriminatory and unsupported is also discriminatory and unsupported. When they insult him and DK he just replies with equivalent of "whatever".

When he calls Jews 'decisively supportive' he merely suggests that he believes they influenced the decision, not that they made the decision. It's an opinion. He's entitled to it.

He's been made fun of as a tinfoil hat wearing lunatic who belongs in a straightjacket (a combination of posts, not in a single post) and he was directly called a racist twit. I'm not an OD fan by any stretched and have reported him before but given that you reported him while ignoring everyone calling him crazy and a twit, I'm guessing that perhaps you're trying to use the Mods to do your work for you. Prove him wrong. I know you can do it.

After reviewing the thread, I don't see anything actionable in there.

It's possible that I missed something, so of course you're welcome to point out a violation if you see it.

Yeah, I am biased against racism and bigotry, but that's not the point. I've seen plenty of OD threads before and this is the only one I have reported, because it basically consists of a meaningless original post that's basically saying, "Jews control the media." Yeah, it's his opinion. It's also rather baity and predictably the thread goes nowhere fast as a result.

He emphasized how "supportive" it was really strongly, implying he believes they effectively made the decision but dodging from actually saying that since he knows it would be objectionable.

Yeah, almost like flaming responses from a flamebait thread leading to a flamewar.

I reported him because he is the author of the thread and I was trying to show how the thread serves no purpose but to be a sounding board for his bigotry. I am not reporting him because I disagree with him nor do I care to get into a debate on the subject.

Jocabia is a respected veteran.. he is a very strong debater and he calls it a she sees it.

Jocabia and I did have some heavy handed "one-on-ones".. So indeed we are not fans of each other.

There is no such thing as a one-on-one in the NationStates forums. If it's publically posted, we assume that the audience is the entire pool of nations in the game, and rule accordingly. Consequently, if you flame and abuse worthy opponents, or even your best buddy and longtime friend, we will assume that you are vicious strangers and warn / ban / DEAT accordingly.

If you want to have a political debate free of moderator oversight, take to email, telegrams, or chat. Here, you play by our rules.

To be fair, I believe I've slipped one or two past the goalie, myself, at least once in a debate with you. I've slid from just being a sarcastic prick into baiting a few times in my own humble opinion. And I'd say the same about you. We're none of us perfect and you of all people know that.
