I have a question about why a particular thread was closed. Another Annoying Religion Thread was posted to basically be poll of which church governments people preferred. I don't understand why it was closed.

Was it the title?

Was it the content of the first post?

I would like to know why it was closed so that I don't make the same mistake in the future. I skimmed through the "rulings book" (I admit it: I skimmed through, not searched through) and I couldn't find anything that I thought applied.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would guess that it's the title of the thread that did it. The thread itself is a pretty decent question, but I expect it was hidden from the Mods by a fairly spammy title. If I were you, I'd wait for a Mod to rule, and, presuming that there was nothing wrong with the rest of the thread, re-post it under a better name.

It's generally best to provide the Mods with a link as well if you want a quick answer, as they don't want to have to search for what you're talking about.
