When trying to log into the forums as Bottle, I received a message stating that Bottle had been forum-banned. Reason "None," extent of ban "Forever."

I can't imagine what I'd have done to earn a permanent forum ban. Help me out, mods?

Well, I did get rather ripped on Saturday night, and I suppose it's possible I logged on and made a total ass of myself and then promptly forgot about it. I'd just like to know, so I can apologize if I did something like that. :)

Your best bet is through the "getting help" page. The random bans were sorted out through there.

That would be what's done it. The nation account expired. I've restored it, but logging onto the forums doesn't keep the nation account from dying.

Of course, you could have tried, you know, asking us to try to unban Von Witzleben again. ;) My ability to mindread is sometimes a little spotty.... and I don't know about the rest of the mods but I don't memorize everyone's nations, generally.

And the hangtime (at least 10 minutes of the hour), database errors (4 times today), and multi-posting (I quit counting) problems, among others....

I'm sure the Jolt folks will be happy to give you a refund of all or part of the money you've invested on the game. Oh ... wait. It's free, and all we contribute to it is more drain on system resources, especially the compulsive posters who go on about it like rabid gibbons - which might explain some of those multiples as well. You know, that quickpunchthebuttonfasterfasterpostpostpost deal. *shrugs* Or not.

Meh. It's not problematic all the time, and it's still hell and gone better than the old forums. By several orders magnitude. For something I enjoy so much that I don't have to pay a red cent for, I figure I can shrug off some minor inconveniences now and then. ymmv.
