Knowing NN's views, I found this disturbing and offensive.

And I rather think he made the comment intending to get someone riled up, and then when it works, to flame them. Trollish behaviour.

This is the response of the person I was referring to...

Haha you can probably guess what race I am.

When you say something obvious as if it's surprising, it's funny *fake :)*

Well okay, any offensive/baiting/trolling comments are OK as long as one remembers to attach an emoticon? I don't think that works.

And don't forget your asbestos underwear anytime you're anywhere near a Ny conversation ... ;)

Come on now. The reported post was simply uncalled for, and not 'funny'.

And I'd like to take you seriously, but then we don't always get what we want. If you're going to go out of your way to be abusive, rude, and racist, you're going to get some criticism in return. If you can't handle that, perhaps it's time to back off and rethink your methods of operation.

Why are you posting with My Nordland again? Or rather, why were you posting with that new account before? Were you posting around a ban?

As for the original reported post, it's not quite enough to be actionable. It is, however, consistent with a trend of posts from this player that are very very close to being against the rules of this game. Such as ...

Get over yourself, Ny Nordland. You've pushed about as much as we're willing to take, and your next forumban will be of the permanent variety.

Are we that politically correct now that we cant tell someone who has slanted eyes they have slanted eyes?

How about telling a black man hes black? Is that also taboo?

Puh-lease. Lame.

I didn't send a huge PM. Of course, if you didn't bother reading it, I hardly know how you'd know how 'huge' or not it was ... ;)

Atlantian: Well, by that line of reasoning, I suppose calling someone a racist asshole in need of a serious beating so we can manage some attitude adjustment on their part is ok, when they obviously are just that? Or wait ... yeah, I think your argument falls a little flat there.

It doesn't matter what people are or aren't. How you choose to carry yourself in a discussion, and how you choose to phrase things however, does matter. If all one is capable of is childish digs in some sort of attempt to make oneself feel bigger, that's a pretty sad statement of affairs. Not to mention, it shows one's lack of ability in carrying on their argument or position with any measure of strength or purpose outside of just being a jerk for jerk-ness sake. Now THAT is lame.

If you were expecting a serious debate on a thread called "Do I look like a serial killer?", it is only amusing when you are trying to lecture....
Oh and you can guess the length of a text with one look. So if you didnt write each sentence again and again, it was huge. Dont PM me again....

Wasnt she implying I and/or my conversations are like asbestos so he need a protection from that? That's not a flame but implying one might have a sun fever is?

Yes, Ny. I believe it is within the rules as it was not a directed flame at anyone - it was being used as an obvious example of a flame in a retort, due to the nature of the comments being discussed. I can see how you run into trouble on the forums so often if you can't tell the difference. If I were to come out and start pointing fingers at any given poster and calling them names directly in such a manner, I'd imagine I'd get warned or called on it depending on the severity so fast my head would spin. And rightly so. I'm sure one of the mods will set me straight if I've somehow managed to call that inappropriately.

And no, I was not trying to say your conversations are like asbestos. I was implying that flaming appears to come fairly easily to you, and that your conversation tends to lean towards the hotter side of things, hence the need for some flame protection if one is going to get much involved. My apologies if the attempt at levity was not appreciated - nor it seems, understood.

Perhaps it's time to stop looking in the direction your accusatory finger is pointing, and take a glance back towards the source for an answer to a lot of your problems. It can't always be everyone else's fault.

Lessee.

Ny: According to Fris, you are about this || close to the edge. I happen to agree with him. I'm sure someone with your history has noticed that trying to use the mods as a weapon, re: false claims, is of course against the rules yourself?

Concerning DLN, the fact that you attract (probably intentionally) controversy is public knowledge. Her referring to that, even in a jestful manner, is not flaming. Hypothetical examples are not flaming; no, taking offense to them is either the sign of a guilty conscience or a thin skin.

It is my polite recommendation that you quit while you are ahead and drop this now. You've gotten your answer, and guess what, it's in your favor. Any continued attempt to stir things up here will more like than not be considered trolling and I'm sure you'd like the permaban that you'd be batting for under such circumstances.

I think it'd behoove you much more to simply take your victory and get out.
