Banned for supposedly starting a flame thread

I previously posted a message accurately stating that anyone who encourages rape is as bad as the rapist committing the actual act of rape, and is thus a rapist by default no matter how much they argue against such a fact. For this, I was banned - it would appear that NationStates Moderators believe that encouraging rape is a good thing.
I was informed that the thread posted was a targeted "flame thread", which it was not - it was as described above, but was in response to misinformation posted by another member (though it was a message to anyone who was reading it, not solely to that specific member).
Here,
the moderators can either defend themselves,
or if they do think that encouraging rape is acceptable, I will probably be banned for posting this (perhaps before a ridiculous "excuse" for my banning is posted instead of an admission of being guilty of believing that encouraging rape is a good thing) - in which case you will probably see no further posts from this username as I do not want to use a website that seems to support rape and rapists.

I highly doubt that NS supports rape.....
Eh?
What's the point of arguing with moderators? Move on with yout life, it's only the inter-tubes anyway.

Or, you know, maybe the mods closed the thread because flaming was coming and they knew it.
I'm pretty certain none of them consider encouraging rape good. They just considered your way of presenting your opinion as flamebaiting.

I just can't find myself taking this thread very seriously.

1. They never said anything about it being flamebaiting - they said it was a flame thread - in other words, that I was flaming, not that I was trying to get others to flame - something that is totally untrue, as none of the above information in the first post has been misrepresented in that first post (above) in this thread, nor is it false.
2. I simply stated a fact about encouraging rape. One person posted a disagreement with that fact, so I responded. I did nothing that could reasonably be considered flaming. Nor was I trying to get anyone else to flame.

Or they can ignore the tantrum.

I can't really judge without seeing the thread. Those things are pretty subjective, anyway, so my opinion or yours may differ from the mod's take on it.
Everything also stands on your notion of "encouraging rape". What's "encouraging" ? Is it taking active part in the act without raping yourself, or is "taking not too seriously accusations with low credibility" also considered encouraging? Because there have been cases of false accusations of rape.
Personally, I'm very careful about rape allegations. They should always be taken seriously and investigated upon, but we should never draw conclusions before the inquiry is finished. Too many a good man's lives have been destroyed with false accusations. False allegations also have the negative impact of making us more weary and doubtful for when a real crime has been comitted.
Anyway, those were my two cents.
