I recieved a warning for spamming in Sinhues thread...tried to look at the link but it no longer exists...

Can a mod tell me what the spam was? I am not disputing it...I just honestly cannot remember what it was I wrote that was spam and obviously don't want to do that again.

Sorry about that -- the thread's been moved and can't be seen anymore.

However, it was during one of Sinuhue's threads in which she flamed out, and a number of people (not just you) were chatting there, or egging her on, or making silly I am Spartacus-like statements.

Please avoid trainwrecks in the future, and if you see a thread you KNOW is going to be nuked because it's spam or flame, kindly don't post.

This goes for anyone who got the warning but can't see the thread... I'll see what I can do about that problem, but YKF*.

I had thought I had only wished her not to go is all.

It would be great if access could be gained to my post...I did not do a Sparticus...but I did do a GBCW and then some text...which was as far as I remember not a spam...but I could be wrong...this place is so different now!

Silly? A quote by Karl Marx on his position as the leader of the oppressed? Well it might be silly if you only are familiar with the movie and do not have a historical clue on the matter at hand. After reading about Spartacus Karl Marx found the inspiration to act instead write about revolution. In his famous speech at the Vladivostok docks he told the workers "I am Spartacus. I will lead you to...... >and more commie BS". Even in our modern culture a person with some sense of history and a good education would use the quote to make known he is opposed to an opinion and be a on of the leading members of the opposition.

So perhaps the words "I am Spartacus" had a deeper meaning than you could know and wasn't spam at all. And therefor you owe someone an apology. Or you might be more like Marcus Licinius Crassus and crucify me about my dissident opinion.

The context in which the "I am Spartacus/UNabassadorship/etc" were uttered made them quite spammy.
