I get a notice today that B0zzy is forumbanned yet there is nothing in any threads I participated in, noting in moderation and no telegram relating to it. WTF? How/why/from whom did B0zzy get a forum ban?

Was your nation deated due to inactivity or for some other reason?

When one of my puppets was deated, it was placed in forum ban mode even though I never did anything with that puppet to warrant it. I sent a Getting Help request and received a reply that there's a Jolt problem that keeps me from using that nation to post.

There is a glitch between Nationstates' interface and Jolt's, and unfortunately, you're not alone in this.

We're trying to solve the problem, but it's not on our end. Until it IS fixed, all I can suggest is using Bawzi.

Given the issues we've been having with the forums, and his apparent ignorance of the warning, I think we can afford to cut some slack on this one. If Bawzi continues to post beyond this point, then yes, that would be actionable.

Like me, the mods here are full of love for their fellow man. I've not yet seen the mods here resort to censorship when asked to clarify their position. At this point there is no arguing that the position is murky at best. You will notice that this is the only thread I, or anyone who sounds like me, is active on.

Posting around a ban is illegal. The fact you're asking for clarification doesn't change that. If you want to get clarification within the rules, there are numerous ways to do so including and not limited to the GHP. It's not hard to follow the rules as laid down. Why are you asking for trouble?

Next time wait until the ban is over to try and argue it.

It's always the same. You adopt a controversial position with little in the way to back it up, inevitably start getting owned in debate, and snap at other participants once this becomes apparent. Or else this happens to some acquaintance whom you back up purely because of political alignment. And once discipline is meted out, you complain about Moderator bias or incompetence. Last time I remember you posting here, just a month or two ago, you were complaining about a liberal Moderator conspiracy silencing all the conservative posters on this forum. And why? Because if I recall correctly, some other guy got a forum ban for flaming.

Break the cycle, B0zzy. Drop the crusade and learn the conventions of debate.

Sorry that you feel that way. I must say that I find it disappointing that you consider the content of a thread (in this case a thread supportive of Bush's policy in Iraq) a bannable offence. Though I am disappointed, I can't say I am surprised since it is consistent with my prior experiences with this forum. You claim that you are impartial - but a ban of this nature is a valid cause to question such a claim.
You say that I snap at other participants which is true - but only when provoked and always in the same manner in which I was provoked. You certainly are intelligent and fair enough to recognize that. You claim that there is not a double standard. I would be willing to give you the benefit of the doubt if you could explain why you regularly address my responses and not the provocations which precede them and why you consider some statements rude only when I make them.
You make a claim about my controversial rational, justification and 'getting owned'. Beyond the juvenile nature of your statement, banning a player certainly does little to expose the validity of your own position. I expect that you are a capable enough debater that you could support your position in a thread without having to abuse your mod abilities to transfer the debate of an argument’s validity into the moderation forum. I am certain that you are not so immature and this was a simple error in judgment. I am also certain that you are mature enough to admit it.

You make a claim that this forum, and you in particular, are not exercising a double standard. I would really like to believe that and I have given you ample opportunity to justify this. You have chosen to attack me personally rather than address your inconsistencies. I am certain that your debate skills are sharp enough you can see that is not an adequate refutation of my claim; instead it adds validity to it.

I never suggested in this thread you were incompetent or biased. Why you chose to read that is you own issue - not mine. It would seem you let your personal feelings and opinions get in the way of your judgment as a mod. You then did exactly what you claim I do; rather than participate in meaningful debate you snapped at a participant - the difference is that you were not only rude - you abused your position as a mod.

I am not angry with you for that; I sympathize. I know how difficult being a mod can be and it makes issuing an apology even more difficult. I am certain that from this point forward you will be able to conduct yourself in a more balanced and fair manner. I am only glad to have been a part of that learning process.

Why you feel the need to point this out I do not know. It hasn't yet been a month. Considering there was a one week period I could not respond that makes it about two weeks - hardly a long time.
