It probably would not have been deleted if you simply asked how much younger and older and why?

I'm extremely curious as to why the thread about the film 'Hounddog' was deleted by Katganistan.

Now what? This is the second thread deleted. Why? That dakota fanning thread was a legit conversation about a movie she is in. Why are these being deleted? We can't talk about real movies now? Can I get a reason why these are wrong and what was said in them that made them wrong?

Mine got deleted also and we were keeping it very reasonable! I don't understand why our threads were deleted, but the paedophile ones get to stay?

The discussion about the movie 'Hounddog' was not a discussion about sex with children, it was a discussion about a film. It happens to be a film about pedophilia, but that wasn't the point of the discussion.

We were very casually discussing the merits (or lack thereof) of the film and not the actual subject matter of the film.

I 100% disagree with Kat's decision on that particular thread, but oh well. Won't be the first time I've disagreed with authority. ;)

We've allowed a lot of threads to go forward despite the subject matter being upsetting to many, but people seem to be trying to see how far they can push the line.

Kat I promise that wasn't what I was doing. I just wanted to discuss a movie I have rather strong views on its subject matter, and with crimes against children seemingly going up in the USA I felt there was no better time than now to talk about it. I wasn't trying to see how far I can push the line, I don't do that; I just wanted to talk about the movie. Honest, I was not trying to push the rules in anyway.

Empress_Suiko, that may not have been your intent, but as I and my fellow mods have been reading these threads the past few weeks, we have noted that each one does seem to be escalating in how close to the line one can get without going over.

I have no choice but to respect that. If I want to discuss the movie I will go elsewhere to do it then.
