Can a mod please lock my thread? I think it's gone as far as it needs to go and is starting to go into the petty insult stage.

It looks like a debate where you stepped in something and can't seem to shake it off your shoes. Not a candidate for a lock, IMO.

Don't tell me that these are allowed by forum rules.

The mod that made the first two insult bumps the thread back up 5 hours after the discussion has died out. and the last one, that's an insult.

Of the first two, which I posted: those are insults?

The last one's not mine; why imply it is?

Being rude is not the same as flaming.

Being rude is not the same as flaming.

It's not?

Flaming is the act of posting messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting, usually in the social context of a discussion board on the Internet.

I would think rude comment would fall under insulting.

umm

Flaming would be something like this...

"Shut up you fucktard"

While they said something completely different than that...

EDIT: SO i don't get reported....that was an EXAMPLE.

It's not?No, it's not.

I would think rude comment would fall under insulting.Yeah, see, I don't give a damn what Wikipedia says. The definition you need to look at is in One Stop Rules Shop. You know, where the rules for this forum are, as opposed to external sources that have no relation to this forum.

Hey, look at that! I was rude, but I didn't flame!
