Suicide thread

I realize that this is of course a very sensitive topic, but apart from pro-suicide folks making their arguments by including euthanasia/terminally ill examples (which isn't bad behavior, just bad examples), there's this entirely uncalled-for retort:

Obviously the poster is very sensitive about the topic, but there was nothing in the post he quoted that deserved such an ad hominem harangue. I don't suggest a ban, and I did inform him of his tenuous position, but even an informal warning would sound better from a silver-tongued Mod.

Thanks.

Sure! Let's ban everyone who has a sensativity to a topic and expresses an opinion - heaven forbid you could learn to use your ignore function.

Mstreeted, that was completely uncalled for. Not particularly auspicious to attack a poster in the moderation forum, either.

Intangleon is correct to bring that post to our attention, as the poster needs to calm down before s/he says something actionable. Perhaps with a little more experience you'll see the difference between "ban them!" and "could you have a word?"
