I disagree with the locking.

I must protest with the locking of my thread, only one person was actually flaiming. Everyone else was still debating.

The problem is, some people took it upon themselves to attack what they wanted to attack, and not to address the original question. At that point, however valid the thread's premise, it becomes a problem. And with the issue being as contentious as it is, it is best to close it before most of the flaming begins, because it is a dead certain inevitability.

But you did get your answer, I believe. There is no such thing as thoughtcrime, until one asks whether it is.

Should I not start a new thread, if not, am i allowed to summarise that thread in one last post, before everyone stereotypes me into someone who hates homosexuality.

You can try, but the results will likely end up the same. When questions of tolerance arise, people flame first and read later, if at all.

Ok, i'm going to try but rephrase it a little, to not sound so harsh.
