Sticky Update: UN Forum

So I was looking through the Great Big Consolidated UN Sticky (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=412468) and I noticed it needed updating in a number of places, including one of my own (former UN puppet's) posts, Euro's post, and Goob's post. I'm not going to ask y'all to go through and update stuff in my posts because it's really the post author's responsibility to keep up with them and I'll update my own posts no problem, but I do think the rest of it needs a nice update. Some reformatting to make it cleaner and easier to read would be nice too.

Specifically, the list of UN active regions in Euro's post definitely needs an update from what I can see, and it would be good to have a link to the current UN IRC thread and a link to the article on Compliance in Goob's post. A link to Fris's last post in the thread would be good to put there too. Also, some of the information is duplicated from one post to another and I think it would be better to consolidate them a little further.

To (finally) get to the point, I'd like to restructure the Great Big Consolidated UN sticky. What I have in mind is similar in structure to my Comprehensive Guide to the UN and Komokom's List of Passed Resolutions (though come to think of it I could just update the Comprehensive Guide and propose that as a replacement for the Sticky if I were into self-aggrandizement). The first post would be a list of the big important links, to things like the FAQ, the Rules, and each of the articles currently in the sticky. And it would have standardized formatting and look kick-ass like that. I would do the leg-work for it since y'all probably aren't going to consent to doing it for me ;) but I will need Moderator approval and someone with Mod powers to sticky it, seeing as I don't have those myself.

So does this sound good, or does it just sound like the ramblings of an exhausted man at 2:00 AM after getting three hours a sleep a night for the past several days? Perhaps both? :)

Let's see ...
About half the posts are yours. You're welcome to update them. Can the yellow go away?
Sophista is active again. He can repost his stuff to a new thread if desired. He might even have some edits.
Euroslavia's post is mostly collections. He's having some net troubles of late, so we haven't seen him around as much. I don't think he'd object.
I haven't visited that IRC channel in at least a year. Is it still alive? I used Goober's post to build the sticky because it was already stickied. We may be better off with a different post.
My post is just silliness. Probably doesn't belong there anyway, but if you think it still belongs, TG me.Go ahead and assemble your thread. We'll have a look and decide then. If you need something copy/moved from another thread, better ask first. Our tools aren't cooperating much of the time. Getting the author to repost may be better.

Well...

1. The yellow...though I thought it was orange, will definitely go away and be replaced by the blue used in Sophista's post. That was my plan anyway.

2. Yeah I noticed he is active and wanted to discuss this project with him if it seemed viable.

3. Ok. I'll try to contact him and see what he thinks, preferably when I'm not so exhausted.

4. It may or may not be alive. I know Gruen re-registered it after Goob let it die, but I need to check on that.

5. If you think it's silliness and probably doesn't belong there, I'll respect that. I trust your judgement.

Thanks. It'll take some time, that's for sure, but I'll get you a thread as soon as possible given my schedule.

Gruen let it die and Bazalonia reregistered it. I'm sitting there just about 24/7 and there's been 5 lines of actual statements made in the last 3 days (4 of which were him and me discussing how "Waste Disposal Covenant" was a bit out of date)

If that counts as alive.....

Alright. I've let this go long enough. Sophista is MIA and ain't responding to my TGs, so I went ahead and added my own stuff from the Comprehensive Guide, which links to his resolution writing guide.

Here's the current version. I'd like y'all to give it a look-see.

Is this being looked at yet, or are y'all busy trying to keep NS from falling over? Just curious. :)

Probably the latter than the former...

I was going to look yesterday, but the forums were too slow for much of anything. Maybe later tonight or this weekend ...

Sounds good. Thanks.

Just FYI, I updated the last post, so there's a bit more to read now.

The forums are once again uncooperative, and I'm also too tired to give this the proper reading it deserves. Despite that, I've stuck the thread for now, without unsticking any of the others.

Let's see if anyone else has anything to say about it before we go any further. For now, let me say, "Solid, comprehensive, looks mighty fine. Nice work."

Thanks! :)

I noticed the forums giving me database errors and generally loading slowly the past few minutes too.

I actually want to see what people have to say about it as well. Comments have been kinda sparse compared to what I expected in the Comments thread.
