How is This Legal?

I thought that the moderators added a rule that would help the nations that currently reside in regions.

The region in which I was delegate was taken over a few hours ago, but now they are banning the UN members so that no one can defy them. My friend, Aruzen, was banned because they were a UN member and had voted for me to be the Delegate. Now I am one less and I am getting rather ticked that this is allowed.

It even says that the invading nations must send each of the members of the region the password. The delegate did not. He has also begun banning fellow members. I am infuriated at this action.

That's an old rule, with the new ones, they have a limited number of nations they can kick, depending on the influence, which grows every day he's in the region and is also dependent on the number of endorsements someone holds.

So. It's alright if he bans all the UN members so that I lose endorsements and he can just grow more powerful?

Yup

I'm pretty sure that's correct. You could gather up enought people to force him to 'burn' his influence(so he can't do anything else), then oust him from the region.

But. He did not post the regional password to the native residents. So how are we supposed to have people help? It says in the rules that he was supposed to post the password because he was a new delegate that invaded. It is in the updated rulebook for I have looked. So he is in violation of the rules.

Umm...which updated rulebook exactly are you talking about?

I'm sorry. Wrong set of rules. I just think that it is unfair that the new delegate can have soo much power and go unchecked. He just came in and changed the password so that now NO ONE can enter without first going through him. Now that just abolishes the whole point of Invading and having the ability to defend yourself. Now he can do whatever he wants and it just seems like no one really gives a dang about actually looking at the rules and seeing if they do make sense.

In fact, it doesn't even give you the ability to defend yourself if an invading delegate sets up a password and will ban anyone who tries to defend themselves. The rules need to be reformed because this is something that is now driving me nuts. I had just as many endorsements as he did, and I was a Super Power influential-wise. So how did he get to become the delegate over me? Then after he did become delegate, he got rid of the only new supporter of me (Aruzen) So that he could become the supreme Delegate. He then set up a password, and made it so that he can 'boot' anyone who tries to defend the region. I am not opposing to the idea of the influence, in fact I think it is quite good. What I am opposing is the fact that NEW delegates can automatically change the password without telling anyone about it and can kick people for trying to defend the Region. Also, it doesn't make sense that since I was the Delegate for almost 200 days, that I automatically got pushed down. This whole thing just isn't fair.

He's liable for a region kick, then. He has to provide you with the password. I believe this consitutes griefing.

The new system does suck, unfourtunatly. I'd be interesting in helping you regain control of the region, however.

What's the name of the region?

The region is 00000000000 (or just put 11 Zeroes down in the Region search) Be careful though...for he will try to delete you...

I'll have to dust-off my UN puppet.

But let's not crowd a moderation forum with this, we'll talk on MSN.

He is not deleting you by ejecting you from the region, there is a very big difference. And also it makes no difference how much influence you have or how long you've been delegate if someone gains more endos than you they are then delegate

Create a new region where the UN delegate doesn't have access to regional control. I think we should get rid of invasions, though. They really are annoying, especially when some idiots decide to invade a RPing region, like African Continent.

The best I could say is put a password up, then whenever a new nation joins, change it.

But, really, they should be regulated to the Battlegrounds. Invasions are unrealistic and bothersome.

Yeah...well. I really just need to find people to help me reclaim my region. Then I will change the password and kick the invaders. That seems fair, right? Expecially since I have enough influence to kick everyone...but I'm not going to kick everyone (Especially the members of my high Council.)

How many of them are there?

I think around 4-5. More or less 5-6. Yeah. That's enough people to vote me out of being delegate. I only need like three endorsements anyway.

No, no delegate *has* to release the password to anyone.

There are two password settings. One where the password is shown to residents on their regional page, right above the UN rankings. The other is completely hidden from all residents.

If the delegate has managed to set up a password then noone can see, then they will probably eventually manage to kick everyone out.

Chalk up another example of the Influence learning curve. It takes time to master, and it's not as simple as most people think. Just as before, though, invasions can be utterly defeated by a founder who pays attention.

Whether you think it's a good system or a bad system, I can assure that abuses of the invasion system are MUCH reduced over pre-influence levels. That's a good thing for everyone.

This beaten horse is dead. Closing.
