Mod's unfair!

My freind wanahakalugashminta was banned from nation states because he told a mod that there was a spelling mistake on the issue that was being voted on in the UN at the time. Now, I know he may have been a little judgemental, but that is just his personality. I think he was treated unfairly and should be allowed back into Nationstates and the UN. I also think that the mod should be punished for what he did.

please have your say on the subject.

I really doubt that that's actually what happened, given there is a whole thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=485318) in which several posters rip the shit out of the resolution for its general appallingness - including spelling errors. Yet I don't see FL or Compadria being banned - nor should they be.

I suspect your friend did something else, or didn't act exactly as you're presenting...so I don't think many people will leap to his defence.

Or there was a history. It might be that this wasn't the first time he'd sent such a comment to the mods and if he had sent such a comment before, the mods would've undoubtedly told him that they aren't going to delete a proposal for something like that.

Your description in no way matches the events. Either you are speculating based on fragmentary reports, or your friend is lying to you. Your friend took a minor incident and turned it into a world-class bitchfest. He persisted in sending incredibly abusive Getting Help reports, despite having been told that his case had been reviewed by multiple mods. There is a limit to how much crap volunteers should have to take, and he exceeded that limit several times over. Despite that, I don't beleive he's been banned from the game. I beleive he just lost a nation or two.

No mod will be punished for doing their job, and doing it correctly. In such cases, we bend over backwards to make certain that it's not mod bias, and insist on impartial review by a panel of mods. Needless to say, your buddy didn't beleive that, and took it as an opportunity to be even more abusive. If "that is just his personality" and how it works in interpersonal relationships, then we don't want him in this game anyway.
