WW2 poster as flag?

Hello,

Recently, I came across few nazistic Germany posters from years of WW2. I read rules, discussion about swastika and schutz-staffel logos and it doesn't says anything ban of nazistic posters. So, just to be sure can I use following pictures as nation flags without breaking rules:

http://i3.tinypic.com/vzy05s.jpg

And I'm NOT nationalsocialist, I'm anti-communist.

Also if needed I can remove words from pictures.

Thanks in advance,
Pashka

So long as there are no specifically banned images or offensive text (in any language), nationalistic imagery is OK. Please do not troll communists or any other ideology, however - you may not use flags to attack groups of people. It is always more constructive to express what you stand for, rather than what you stand against. Remember that national flags cannot be challenged or debated in the way that forum topics can, so they are held to a higher standard.

On a practical note, you'll need to resize. Those are too big and would screw up the way the nationpage looks. Also, keep in mind that on the regional or world page, a vertical flag will look squashed and fat as it'll be forced into 26x40.

Probably OK depending on the tone set by the graphics (we offer guidelines but judge on a case-by-case basis), as the word is an abstract noun. "Smash Communists" would not be acceptable, however, as it attacks the people rather than the ideology.

Probably something along the lines of "Smash Communism" would be more appropreate. Right TG?

Ok, I resized it. I kept my old motto "Hail Baltija!" (I don't think it counts as "offensive"). About smashing the communism, why hammer & sickle and USSR flags are allowed? And is where a active thread related to this discussion?

It's not an active thread, but in this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=416023) there is this post (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9445233&postcount=8).

The hammer and sickle: fine (Yes, I'm aware of the hundreds of millions of deaths. But when people look at the hammer and sickle, they think communism, not mass graves. If you can point me at a survey that shows otherwise, then we'll deem this one malicious, too. But until then, it's just a Soviet flag.)

Firstly, the true simbol of communism is raised red fist, not hammer and sickle. Second, soviets weren't even communists, USSR was lead by dictators masked as communists. If nation wants to represent that it is following communism/socialism, when it should display red fist, not a flag of opressive dictatorship that doomed millions to starve and freeze. It is a disrespect for those that perished.

Is it against the rules to use country motto "Smash soviets"? USSR collapsed anyway and where are no soviets (I'm not talking about 12 years old brat that can't even speak in russian)?

I fail to see any SS logo...

I was refering to Moderating team, not you. I will appreciate if other members of NS Forums will save their comments for other threads. Thank you.

But they aren't laid out as per the SS insignia. Yes, the connection is there, but it isn't so obvious.

No. Lighting bolts =/= SS runes.

"Smash Soviets" is OK as strictly speaking a Soviet is a legislative/administrative assembly. Rather like "Smash Unions".
