I would like to know why my IC R & D thread has been locked.

I am not aware of any rules broken by my thread.

The only thing you're posting in there is the same three sentences (with small changes in what tou actually type) for 12 pages. This qualifies as spam, seeing as no 'research and development' is actually being roleplayed. It will stay locked.

Hmm, as far as I was aware, IC R&D was just updating info on R&D projects. I apologize if I was incorrect. Not many other R&D threads for me to compare mine to.

IC R&D can be for updating info on R&D projects, but there needs to be actual substance to the thread. Posting three lines in each post, esp. right after each other, with no attempt at RP'ing anything is pretty much spam.

Any suggestions on how I should proceed? Most nations I've encountered are more willing to accept tech if documentable R&D has been done on it.

I'm afraid I don't follow. I'm not updating anything. I'm doing the IC stuff of documenting the creation of tech.

Are you saying I should put more description in each post?

Side Note: If my R&D thread was considered spam, then why aren't the other R&D threads out there locked as well?

I'm saying roleplay the creation of this new technology. Say what you're actually doing, and at least make an attempt to show the research and development going on. After all, that's what the thread is.

If I may make a suggestion...

If you're stuck on how exactly to RP R&D, RP fun things like debates amongst your military on what projects to spend appropriations on, actual lab experiments, building of prototypes, et cetera. When I do research threads, seldom do I do anything like "30% complete;" I just RP the actual scientists in the labs, building prototypes, and whatnot.

Accomplishes the same thing (documentation of tech) but in a much more interesting way.:)
