still being harrassed.

Six months ago I (meaning my nations) came to have a problem with a certain player. The problems progressed to the point of his getting several nations deleted for threatening me and flaming and spamming regional message boards, and been caught multi-ing.

My nose wasn't particularly clean around that time, and I was told in clear terms that I was walking on thin ice myself (having recently participated in a somewhat messy re-founding and one liberation sortee). At that point I tried to strike a deal with this other player that we would stay out of each other's regions and told him which nations I intended to stay in, and which I would leave to him. I promised the MOds I wouldn't bother them with this guy any more.

Well, he still kept following me around, badmouthing me, telliing lies about me, exposing my puppets, and when the Founder of the former region The Resting Place invited me there, he put my real life name on the public boards.

I and <the other main nations in the region> have been working for a few months trying to put <a particular war-torn region> back together. We've set up a democratic charter and elections. I have used a puppet to rebuild the region, so as to leave past animosities behind. We are finally getting back to normal there.

Now, here he comes, exposing my puppet, using the excuse that I was talking about him (we all were talking about him. Someone asked if anyone had seen him around, and the others answered, including me.)

I got pretty mad at him for telling my real name on the boards a month or so ago, and now here he is back to haunt me.

Am I stuck dealing with this guy?

If he is harassing you through the RMB, then report him using a Getting Help Reqest and select (Regional Message Board) in the request. Other than that i don't know what to tell you.

Oh, and I know I am probably supposed to put this on the Getting Help page, but I think this needs a better resolution for me in terms of suggestions of what to do to deal with this guy in case you decide he isn't breaking any rules.

And i want to make sure he's breaking the rules before I bother a whole nother group of mods with it. I figured I could get all of it resolved here.

I'm familiar with the case, but can't act without evidence. File a detailed Getting Help request and include a capture of relevant regional messageboards (using the checkboxes, NOT cut-n-paste). Name names.

We'll look into it.

Either way, it's the same group of mods. Only Game Mods can deal with regional issues, so we'd have to do it anyway.

I had a TG block on that nation, and have now received a telegram from one of his puppets.

Since the first nation has been deeted, it no longer appears on my block list. Does this mean I have no evidence? Or can it be determined that I had that player blocked before it was deleted?

In any case, I have blocked the new puppet so any future breaches can be proven.

Considering the dossier keeps names of nations that are gone, and nation names that were historically used are still sitting in the database, I would be shocked if your blocking of the telegram is not logged. However, that doesn't mean he knows you were blocked and it might be more difficult to prove that.

Every time I block him, I send him a message telling him not to contact me any more with any of his nations. Ive also mentioned to him at least once that circumventing a block with puppets is also a deletable offense.

He knows.

Report it. Figuring out who's got what puppets is a doable exercise.

Telegram blocks prevent telegrams from being sent. We don't actually log them. Instead, you get this message:Your telegram bounces back! The <pretitle> of <nation> is refusing to accept telegrams wired from <yournation>.
If we reviewed every blocked telegram ever sent, we'd probably be getting involved in every lover's spat and regional pissing match in the game, and nobody wants that. TB Ignores are just a handy tool so we don't HAVE to act. Nothing more.

I wasn't so much asking about tracking blocked messages, but rather that little drop down menu at the bottom of your telegrams that lists who you are ignoring.

He was on my list with one name, and dropped off when that nation got deleted. Now I have added two more of his puppets to the block list. I'll just keep blocking him every time he uses another nation.
