I have Broken the Rules. Mod decision needed.

I have broken the rules by creating an "Ask a Christian" thread on general.

I'm here to notify the moderators first of all, that if they so choose, that the thread is here to be closed.

http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=10715524

However I'm also here to ask that it remains open.

The General forum has alot of "Christian Bashing" going on within the danks of the threads, and I have noticed that its mainly due to a lax of information for many individuals. I had hoped to create a resource thread on NS general where in time I would be able to post alot of topics and information regarding the faith. But more importantly, I feel it's better that they ask someone first hand about their beliefs and their faith, since more direct and simple answers can be forwarded without having to dredge the depths of some chapter on some far away land.

Obviously if the thread is to be closed, then it is to be closed, but it's my hope that you can make an exception.

Why should Christians get their own thread? Why should you be exempt?

No offense old boy, but there's also Muslim-bashing, Creationist-bashing, Republican-bashing, Bush-bashing, military-bashing...the list goes on. Why should Christians have an exception to the rules and get a thread? The bashing is just a part of the forums, like the rest.

In future please read the stickies in a forum before posting. Still, at least you came here and admitted breaking the rules, which probably takes you out of the category of 'egregious offenders' (who get spam warnings). I doubt however that the mods will listen to your pleas for leniency in regards to locking the thread - they tend not to make exceptions to rules banning specific types of thread.

Unified Sith, I am not a Mod.. But I will give you some advice..

Looks to me that this is not a deatable offense.. And looks to me like this is the first time you do this..

You should have posted the following in your Ask-a-Chr.. thread(Not here) I do not mean to break any rules, if you feel this thread is a problem, please kill it.

By posting this in moderation.. And the way you post (I broke the rules, delete this.. Wait.. please Don't)

If I was a mod.. I would be annoyed a bit..

Hey nobody has started a limey-bashing thread! :p

Ask A... threads are asking for trouble. Every time one slips past, someone takes it as a signal that maybe, just maybe, they can sneak another one through, and before you know it, the General Forum has been taken over as if by a particularly persistent barnacle infestation.

And you need to watch what you say in Moderation. Flaming/Flame Baiting in Moderation isn't really the smartest thing to do.

I was expressing my opinon. For a forum that is really liberal in nature, some of the rules are very facist.

I suppose then that taking cheap shots is proper behavior and would be allowed in a place of business or everyone's living room?

Be civil. If you don't care for the rules of this forum, there are only a few hundred billions out there where you need not be bothered by fascist rules.

Edit: And wow, you'd use your mod powers to keep OceanDrive2 from posting.

Long live irony!
