old info about a region and/or founder

Hullo!
I'm interested in finding how old my region is, and somehow I can't find this information anywhere. Is it possible to obtain this? Also, I guess as a matter of honouring the passed delegates and founders, can one find out when the founder passed away, and who were the delegates until present times?
I know this is not terribly important, and I night have missed this info somewhere where it is available - but if anyone can give me some suggestion (by the way, google didn't find anything, and archive.org didn't store much of NS ... which I found amazing though) it will be much appreciated http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif .

No idea, but I think nation growth is linear, so I assume if you can figure out how fast your nation grows a day, then you can divide your nation's pop - 5 million and you'll roughly find out how old it should be in days. :)

Shouldn't population growth be exponential?

 Can you imagine what our populations would be like if they truly were exponential?

Yes, the population growth is pretty much linear over time. You get somewhere between 5-8 million a day (after a week or so). Also, if you posted on the forums before the move to Jolt, you might very well know your start date, as sometimes it seems to be kept on Jolt.

Seriously? Linear doesn't match what I've been seeing......

I think it's percentage based (as in....percent of your population) rounded up to the nearest million. It might also be that there's an inverted curve for the percent (so it's like 2% when you're at 100 million and 1% as you pass 3billion and so on and so forth). You might also have a very slight increase curve.....

I've gotta figure out how many I get

umm ... I think there's a little misunderstanding :)

I'm really talking about the _region_, not the _nation_ (e.g. I'm Ultrasilvania, in Central Europe; I want to know how old Central Europe is)

Ultrasilvania's age is in the xml file that you can find on nseconomy, that I found out

Thanks for the replys!

Sorry, I got sidetracked, I know what your question was. :p You got an answer over in technical, no, it's not possible to know. Nothing keeps track of how old regions are. Possibly, if the region had a founder and you knew the founding date of that nation, then you could say the region was somewhere under that age.

(and to Forgottenlands, I have a graph of population vs. age if you want to see it. Tis most definitely linear. ;) )

Don't know about Forgottenlands, but I would be quite interested in seeing that graph...

Seriously? Linear doesn't match what I've been seeing......1 million per day for the first week. 5-8 million per day after. That's it.

If you want to think of it as a sliding percentile scale that adjusts so that you always gain 5-8 million per day, be my guest. The fact remains that you get 5-8 million per day.

Thanks, Erastide!

Seems that I missed that answer in Technical, can't see the thread anymore, but I get the point.

Since the founder expired - and I guess info about gone nations isn't kept either - there's no way to find out ... pity. The oldest member of the region is about 450 days old, and the region was founded well before he/she came, so it's a pretty old region, I should be happy with that :)

What I am hoping is that someone who has spent a lot of time around here remembers the region or the founder (salo) and can give an approximate date. Anyone?

Again, thanks for the replies!
