May I know why one of my nations, Militant Sexperts, was deleated? It's been around for quite awhile, so I don't know what could have been wrong with it. Can you advise? :(

I'm not sure, but it could easily have been that you just forgot it for too long. Are you sure you did your issues recently enough?

I don't think they do. I think a violation in one of those gets you deleted.

They change to a blank or a message that says "get new currency, motto, or animal". And you at the same time you get a warning that counts as a final warning. Unless you have had previous mischief with that nation. Then it just gets deated.
They base it on intent. I wouldn't try to play innocent if you really intended to cause offense or anything like that cause the Mods have foolproof ways of determining the guilty from the innocent. Well, almost foolproof.
Complex psychological evaluations. oooh. I think I just invented a mod conspiracy theory. :cool:
Actually I think they look at your history of such offenses. In the case of my other nation, NakedTeenageGirls, they allowed it cause of the intent. The nation was a joke nation. But they did make me change the currency and animal. But then it became obscene and got deleted when I used it to create a thread rp with the word rapist in the title. They don't give you any slack when you talk about rape. That's why I didn't bother mounting much of a request to get it back. Cause I reviewed their previous decisions, that you can find in the mod forum archive. After I read the one about the use of the word rape in a thread, I already knew there was no chance I would get NTG back. There were other issues of which I was unaware.
For example, I learned from it that you can use pics of real people to depict fictional characters as long as the fictional characters are not rapists or anything like that. When I used NTG to create a thread called "Rapist on the Loose" the nation name automatically became illegal and was thus justifiably deleted. Unfortunately so was my main nation.
I'll have to remember that stuff in the future.

A mod will come around and look at it. They're pretty good at fixing stuff like this if it was a nonoffense deletion. They seem to take some kind of pride in resurrecting nations that can be resurrected. It was like they were competing to see who could restore the most nations or something.

I don't want to spark a giant discussion about this or anything, but isn't the line supposed to be at PG-13. Assuming what Eut said is true about the fields and flag, I don't see how any of that separately or in combination could be seen to even toe the line of PG-13 or its equivalent. Are you sure there wasn't a misunderstanding here?

I was just curious as to why it was deleated. I can see where someone with an active imagination or a pudish state of mind ( or both ) might find it objectionable.

Sorry, but somehow allowing an avowed pedophile to continue having a nation doesn't square with deleating mine for what seem to me to be pretty innocuous things.

The name alone wouldn't have done it. The aggregate of all of them added up to something that was reported as inappropriate.

No I'm not that strict. However there were a few names with 'Fecking' on the list but their names were combined with something else that made the name rude in my opinion.

I just checked that site out. You guys actually use that place to define words?
I noticed that that particular definition for mink seemed to have a more people disagreeing than agreeing.
It also seems that the definitions are whatever any old guy comes along and says they are.
I could put on there that trouser means a man's genitals. Would that mean that that is the official definition of trouser?

I thought the mods used more credible sources.

I made the list straight into the FAQ so I don't have any of them saved, but nations like:

What, actively searching for nations with naughty or offensive names? Yeah, that's a sad activity. If you report one when you see it, okay. But actively searching seems to me like a sign that you have too much time on your hands.

Okay I'm just going to clear this matter up for the final time. I have a good social life with plenty of friends and I enjoy playing lots of sports and go out frequently.

However one day last week (Monday?), I got annoyed when I saw a load of stupid n00bs creating offensive nations in The East Pacific (my home region). So I decided to create a list of nations with offensive names and I typed in a few swear words on the world page and then pasted them into a getting help report. This took me about 20 minutes, although I was checking two of the regions I'm founder of, as well as some forums at the same time.

So I hope this clears up the matter and I do not have too much time on my hands.

If I recall correctly, it is a crime in most countries, as well as against UN law (I'm not sure about the UN one). What should be happening is that his IP address is logged and transmitted to his local police dept. (if that can be found).

Have you tried requesting another password to your email? Or changing your password if they didn't change the password. Either way, you should report this on the Getting Help (http://www.nationstates.net/69680/page=help) page.
