Can I get a reason why my thread "American family bitch-slapped by Canuck Senator" was closed. Having just got home, and checking on the thread, I was quite disappointed to see it so mercilessly hijacked by so many, and in such a dull manner. I'd made up my mind to ask in moderation to have it closed, only to find it already had been.

Locked for pages of flamebait and off-topicness. If the forum worked properly I would have split the irrelevant discussion, but at things are, the forum formatting is so b0rked for me, I couldn't find my own arse if I had a bookmark. Feel free to restart the original debate if you wish.
