Surely this is inflamatory? I take offense to it and I'm pretty sure anyone who is a parent would as well. Its not like he made a thread abou the history of infanticide and what are your thoughts on it. He is saying that its ok to kill a baby because the mother may not be able to afford a baby sitter or if the baby is cripple or if someone gets laid off from their job ......that we should just kill the baby.

This poster has a history of trying to make people mad. He has already been warned once this evening.

Put yourself in that person’s shoes. I mean God, she could be experiencing life, but instead she’s tied to a possibly malformed entity that can’t even appreciate the sacrifice she is making. Things would be so much easier if she could just take it to a doctor and have it put to sleep. Or you know, maybe sell it to a butcher

I think that was an incorrect decision.

The post was perfectly logical and cut to the heart of the issue. The logical premise was never addressed - only the emotional response to it. The only unacceptable behavior I saw in that thread belonged to Peech. I see no reason for the thread lockage and the only warning should have gone to Peech. Peech began name-calling from the very first post. Throughout the thread Peech used the terms:

"Creep"
"pathetic"
"asshole"

Undelia never responded to these insults and kept it civil.

You think that killing babies for lack or daycare or because they put a damper on your ability to go out and party are logical statements? That a parent should be able to take a baby to the doctor and have it put to sleep or sold to a butcher are logical statements?

I did call him a creep.

I did not call him an asshole. I said he was deliberately trying to be an ashole, I did not say "Undelia you are an asshole." I was describing his behavior. He has refered and described himself as much worse.

I said it was pathetic that people saw nothing wrong with killing babies for reasons such as lack of daycare. His posts were obvious and intentional to provoke anger and emotion. And I have a baby, so if I became angry and emotional, then I guess he acheived his goal. Thats why they have the rule in place.


Undelia has never been civil for more than 5 seconds. He was warned by a mod for flaming just a short time before he made this thread. It's a pattern and his behavior is consistent. The mods read the thread and everything he and I said in it. They made their ruling and just because you dont agree with it gives you no right to try and make me out to be the villian.

Edit: May I request a lock on this thread since it has been addressed by a moderator? Also to keep it from turing into an ongoing argument.

Heartily seconded. His argument was thought out to at least some degree and he remained more civil than many other posters througout the entirety of the debate.

Edit: May I request a lock on this thread since it has been addressed by a moderator? Also to keep it from turing into an ongoing argument.
Why? If a real debate/argument has begun, there is no reason to close the thread.

Civil language or not, the thread constituted trolling.

While infanticide is a reasonable debate topic when handled with sensitivity, wording it as a clear piss-take is not reasonable.
