I believe we've put up with this behavior long enough.

His rant has been going on for two days and I understand that he is angry with the position the mother of his child put him in, but I am tired of him taking it out on me.

The post in question was across the line and has been removed. However, he is allowed to make an ass of himself in public if he wants. It would probably best if you just ignored him (either yourself or with the Jolt functionality) and continued your debate. I'd rather not lock the thread.

Yeah. I agree. This is one of those situations where I want to kick myself for being drawn in, but still manage to do it.

I'll try to be a little more adult and I appreciate the advice.

I prefer the thread locked. It is no longer anywhere near the topic as has turned into flaming by both sides, for the majority of the thread.

Hack, we are having a wonderful discussion that is on-topic with VO2 and I suspect he would say the same if you asked him. People who feel that cannot control themselves in the thread are welcome to not be in the thread. I appreciate your choice not to lock the thread.

Wrong. Jocabia's posts have been vehemently derogative for the duration of his activity in the thread. The thread started about a news article about a man wanting a fairer child support system. Jocabia has been skirting the line of on and off-topic consistently talking about a child's right to support; however, both Jocabia and Dempublicents are getting into some strange debate of a child's right to a father which has nothing to do with the child support system or child support at all.

I prefer the thread locked. Your inability to debate without flaming doesn't mean that nobody else can.

Furthermore, topic drift is not the same as hijacking.

Jocabia has been trolling in the thread since his entrance into it.
