*sigh*
I suppose it is flaming on his part, but really... If someone said that to you in real life, would you go tell someone?

Tweedlesburg, how about leaving the moderating to the moderators, please?

The reported post was by a player who wasn't participating in the RP at all, he just popped in to flame TFU. Whether it's offensive or not, it adds nothing to the RP, and TFU was entirely correct in requesting its removal. Had he asked for a warning, we'd have probably said no, but pointing us to it was entirely correct.

Absolutely not. I admit that I may have spoken hastily on this occasion, but if I see a bad call, I'm going to say so. As far as I know, there's no rule against that.

Moderation
Speculation: If you don't definitively know the answer or have a link to a prior mod decision that is entirely relevant, don't try to answer other player's requests. It can be confusing to new players. You're not always aware of all the facts. ONLY moderator statements are definitive, so don't use language that implies that you are 100% certain.
Advising people that they shouldn't be posting their requests for whatever reason is our job, not yours. It IS covered in the rules.

This is not a forum for extensive player-to-player dialogue. If you have something helpful to offer that's directly related to the question, we're fine with that. If you're just chipping in your two cents on every thread, we will advise you (politely) to knock it off. If you blow us off and continue, we may choose to take stronger actions.
