I never intended it to insult you. Misinterpretation is a great problem in many forums. Maybe I'll put the true meaning in big flashing lights next to the next post?

IIRC, the mods can still read the original content of edited or soft-deleted posts and see if someone removed flamebait or outright flaming from a post in an effort to get around warnings or bans or deats. And quoting the post in question just makes more work for the mods if they have to edit out anything you've quoted.
