This its getting ridiculous, there are copy cat threads out of control, it may have been my fault, some nation bumped my old thread about rating me then went on to copy it about his own nation, i mean that started a domino affect, and this is getting really irritating me to see all this but then again im not a mod i don't make the rules im just saying its going to get out of hand.

I find it interesting to note that MY thread seems to be the only one that has been removed or what have ye. I don't know if the rest were locked, but mine is the only one that can no longer be accessed. May I ask why?

We've got another one, and the intro even suggests sort of a "in before the lock" kind of mentality: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=466354

Hey Mini Mieham. Its sort of against the rules to make those threads. The mods ruled on it awhile ago. If you want advice then create a OOC thread asking for advice on how to better your nation.

Ok. I was relatively certain that copycat threads were the issue, not opinion threads.

Last i checked, those types of threads were illgal. It is in the International Incidents Seperate Rulings Thread. I'm sure the mods havent caught the others yet, they just spotted yours first.

The rest were simply moved.

I'd also suggest something I do: Pick certain players you respect as good RPers at or above your level of RP skill and ask them point blank what you can do to improve your RPing.
That way, you can get useful advice without pandering.

I already KNOW what the people I respect think... I wanted to find out what EVERYBODY ELSE thought...
Oh well, this'll be my last post here.

If I remember correctly these threads were banned quite a long time ago since we got the last plague of them back in 2004, hell, I remember making a mock parody thread reversing the whole thing that did rather well before people copied that idea and got that fad banned too.
I don't think the reasoning for banning them is limited to the idea of copy-cat threads... as far as I remember it's more to do with stopping the International Incidents forum (and Nationstates) from being flooded with opinion OOC opinion threads that don't really add to the forum and present a possible issue in regards to flame-bait.
Personally, I can't stand them and I think they should all be treated equally in that they all should be moved to the spam forum or closed. As has been said previously you can just ask people directly (via telegram or even third party messengers and chat programs) instead of adding more useless content into what is meant to be an IC forum. At the very least if people incist on doing it they could follow others examples and do it in your own OOC background threads for your nation, that way it's still got content for others as well as providing you with your much sought after opinions.
