There is alot of anti-japanese racism in that thread, could somebody do something about it?

Sorry but i don't see what the problem is. no one is calling them any racist names or anything. It is only people stating their oppinions about if Japan copied Chineese culture or not.


If you could point to a specific post where there is an actual racist comment and/or word, it would help more.

Let me get this straight - you ask a question like that, put in a poll, then get upset when people voice the very opinions you asked for?

Been scanning through it and I've yet to come across anything that looks like rampant hate speech, (though there's plenty that isn't particularly flattering, but hey - you'll find that whenever a particular nation is put under the spotlight) whether you agree with it, like it, or not ...

Then again, I'm not in charge of what's acceptable and what's not. Just making an observation there. Guess we'll see what the mods think of it.

Your thread is kinda flamebaitish.

As you did not know, there are few users in this forum (including me) are chinese. There maybe a few japanese user as well.

Also, I did not see any racist comment anywhere. You really do get upset very easily, I think it's time for you to grow some skin.

Uh... don't see anything overtly racist there, and I'm in the dang thing. The Lady is right, you did ask for people's opinions and some of the Chinese on this board have some very strong opinions.

All are flamebait and 75 is flat out racist.


And The Chinese Republics my post was not flamebaitish, I flat pointed out I didn't want to start nationalism on either side. It would have been flamebait if I went on and on about how awesome Japan was, which I did not.

Borderline, calling all Japanese liars may not be outright racist they way he put it, but it is offensive a flat out ignorant thing to say. Calling people liars because they are japanese is stupid and his facts are wrong anyway.

He said they're liars because they voted to change textbooks, minimizing Japanese aggression in WWII. It's a broad generalization, yes, but hardly what I'd call a racist statement.

That's not saying all Japanese are liars. Now, if you dispute his facts, do so, but don't cry racism over it.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but racism is viewed on this site as a valid political vbiewpoint, and provided that it is expressed in terms which are not otherwise forbidden (such as flaming, trolling and the like) it is permitted here, no?

Seems more to me that you simply didn't appreciate that some people just don't really like Japan, and probably don't have all that thick of a skin. Just because somebody disagrees with you, doesn't mean you automatically get to call the racism, flaming, flamebait, etc cards.....it just means they disagree with you.

I agree with Nathicana on this one -- if you're going to start a thread like that, with a poll, but put so little substance into the criteria for posting opinions, you run the risk that your feelings are going to get hurt. Nobody from what you've specifically posted seems to have said anything terribly inflammatory about either side, and it riles me a bit that the only posts you do have to complain about are some of the ones against Japan.

I would suggest that, if you can't grow a thicker skin about something so minor, you avoid these types of threads in the future, or find a different hobby. It only gets worse from here.

But then, the mods here operate on a different frequency than we have to on my site.....they could decide in favour of you. I just wouldn't hold my breath on it, that's all.
