This thread had potential to be amusing, but quickly seemed to degenerate into a flamefest from all sides.

In scanning over it, I'd say it's too late for that. Starts in with the sniping on the first page and just goes with there, escalating to such gems as this one (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10239146&postcount=106) that caught my eye.
Mostly seems to be folks taking the opportunity to haul out their political soapboxes and make jabs at one another whilst skirting the boundaries of 'acceptable behaviour'. There's been more snark than quotes - none of which that I saw had any references from where they were being quoted from, only who - though there seems to be some accusation of misattributed quotes in there as well. And of course mild use of the mods as a weapon (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10240440&postcount=215), though I stress 'mild', and likely just sarcasm from someone who has seemed to view themselves as persecuted by The Man.
Meh. It's a mess.
