Oh for crying out loud, Etrusca. God forbid anyone act like the adult they're supposed to be here either, I suppose.
I believe the point being made is that threads of this nature, and others, have historically degenerated into flamefests of some sort, not that there's anything wrong with the discussion in and of itself as you're insinuating. Do you really see any statement in the first post here saying 'we can't mention 9-11 ever', and did you miss the 'no complaint, just a heads up' statement?
Tone and approach as well as content can make for trouble, as anyone who's spent any time on the forum well knows. And considering the polarization of conservative and liberal we have, and the rather rabid responses from both camps that get tossed into the fray any time this sort of thing gets discussed, I can understand the concern. Geeze. It's not even your thread.
