I got a TG saying I'm out permanently. What gives?

Can someone please address this? Yes, I realise I submitted joke proposals. I didn't, however, realise there was a three-strikes rule, and even so I only recall submitting two. I apologise for any trouble my behaviour caused, but I have been, by and large, a very serious member of the UN, including participating in numerous TG campaigns for/against proposals at vote, and contribute frequently to the debates in the UN forum. Please give me another chance.

I take this very seriously. Sniping from nooblets is not amusing, thank you very much.
the number of posts a person has dosn't say how long they have been on NS

It is simple; Once the game ejects you from the UN for some rules violation, that nation stays flagged and will not be let back in. The only way to get back in, is to prove that you are wrongly ejected. Or create a new nation, and aply again.
Ignorance of the rules really isn't an excuse. My advice would be to create a new nation and move on, wiser and older.

In all reality, the UN isn't the end-all of NationStates gameplay. In fact, it's kinda of stupid, imo. Use this oppertunity to expand your horizons...find other ways to play.

I'm not the one who ejected you, but the notes on your nation indicate something about a "Midget Protection Act". Given that you've had severe problems due to submitting Joke proposals, I'd guess this was another of them.
There's nothing wrong with having a sense of humor. There's something wrong with ignoring multiple warnings about using it appropriately and in appropriate places.

I am the moderator who deleted the proposal, after consenting with Hack first, and I am the moderator who ejected you from the UN, after even more consultation from Hack, GMC, and Tsaraine. This is the third joke proposal submitted to the UN, and in accordance to the three strike rule, you were ejected. You may return to the UN with another nation.

My only disagreement with this is that I never received a warning, so I was unaware that joking around as I was doing could result in ejection.
Euro (and Hack, too), please reconsider. I assure you, knowing that it's considered such a serious offense, I won't submit another joke proposal again.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but apart from the opportunity to hang out with the many friends I've made on NS, the UN is the reason I play.

You were deleted over a stupid proposal in the past, and long discussions were held on your appeal as to whether it was a deletion offense or not. We finally decided 'not' and revived you with an explanation, so don't tell me you're ignorant of the concept.
Appeal denied.

Actually, Fris, I never did get an explanation. This is the TG I got (sent to one of my puppets at the time) informing me that Cluichstan had been restored.

After much discussion of your past (and probable future) actions, Cluichstan has been restored. Please justify our judgement by staying on the straight and narrow.
As you can see, all it told me was that I'd been given my nation back. I don't mean to be an arse, but I honestly was unaware.
If that is the message you recieved, Cluichstan, then I agree that it didn't tell you what you had done wrong. However it warned you to "remain on the straight and narrow", which left it to you to find out what that meant. A quick trip to the FAQ would have warned you about the three strikes rule, and not to submit joke proposals, and a whole slew of other matters.:headbang: I hate having to remind people to check the FAQ. I haven't been here that long, and even I knew about these rules.
In short, YOU screwed up. YOU should have known better. YOUR behaviour was like that of, as you so eloquently put it, a "nooblet". Quite frankly, you have been here long enough to know better.
Suck it up, and quit your whining!

My, my. There are a lot of concerned non-moderators offering helpful, constructive advice in this thread. Bet you're touched that so many people care, eh Cluich?

Hope it works out for you, Cluichstan.
Seems to me that the moderators were lenient and that the "one-stop rules shop" would be a handy place to start to avoid new problems. See it here:

Again, good luck!

I spoke with Euro on IRC a short while ago and respect the decision he made. I've followed his advice and created the Cluichstani UN Mission so that I can get back into the UN. And I most certainly will not be submitting anymore joke proposals. Thanks, Euro.
Friendly neighborhood mods, feel free to lock the thread up anytime.
